Great interest was taken in the "Hard up" evening at the 'Club on Thursday night last, The quaint costumes of the competitors were excellently carried out, and the winner, Miss Beatrice Keall, was exceptionally good, and won by a large majority. Great merriment was caused when Miss Joan Lowry arrived, dressed as. a boy. and a most successful boy, too! Later a menu competition was held. Miss Joan Lowry winning first prize, while Misses Erica Nielsen and Ella Cole tied for second place. The evening concluded with a ping-pong competition, in which members of the boys' club joined.
