A meeting of the committee of the Otaki Horticultural and Daffodil Society was held oil Thursday evening, when there were present Mesdanies Witrhell, Wilson. Reynolds, Evans, Nieolson, Misses Baker and 'Whiteman (ff), MrsI sis Witebell, Broadway, Reynolds, Wil 1 son. Evans, and Rev. (i. F. Petrie. The chair was taken by Mr If. Witrhell (President). The balance-sheet of the Bulb She", showing a debit balance of £7 Us M was presented. The secretary was instructed >0 write and convoy the committee’s appreciation, of thanks for the set'ices of Messrs C. E. Buckingham and A. d. Sliailer (judges). Misses Baker a ltd Whiteman ami their assistants (tea rooms). Mesdames Reynolds and Nil 1} son (lolly stall), and to the Band fur rendering selections. Miss Nor grove was voted 10s for services in connection with the show. It was decided to write to the Druids and thank them for postponing their social which had been arranged for date of show. Messrs Reynolds, Gmail and Broadway wore appointed to revise the Bulb schedule. Arrangements in connection with the .Spring Show, to be held on November 14, were made as under: Judges: Pot plants, cut blooms, etc., Mr .V. ■I. Sliailer, Palmerston North; bouquet* and decorations, Mrs Tmrie, Palmerston North; domestic, Mr .1. .J. Whitehead, Palmerston North; needlework, Mrs Ha inert on, Wellington. ft was decided that exhibit-, it: the school work section, writing and drawing. be handed to tlie secretary on Frida**, November 3rd, and sent to the
