CHILDREN’S COMPETITIONS.

These will take place to-morrow in the Otaki theatre. The judging for recitations will commence in the afteinoou as soon as the children can alliic from school, and only the recalls will be heard in the evening. The drawing and spelling events will also be brought un in the afternoon. Entiics for all events, except the essay and the limericks, will be reeeived up to the time of judging. The evening session will commence at 7 o’clock sharp, and the doors will be open at half past six. Keen interest is being displayed and it is expected that the attendance will be large. .
