j TiASIS OF FEDERATION. | AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. 1 An important announcement was 'made at .Saturday’s conference .01 secretaries of the Wellington pro-[vinr-ial district branches of tiie Dairy Farmers' Union, which is being lief cl at the soldiers' Club. The president Mr' I'. .1. Small stated that, as the upshot of the. recent conl'ernee in Wellington, between representatives of t tie Daily Farmers’ Union and tfie New (Zealand Farmers’ Union, a basis of federation had been tentatively agreed upon. The terms of (lie agreement, which will come into force upon ra-tiliea-liou bv the executive of the respective unions, were as follow: 1. Thai the New Zealand Farmers' Union and the Dairy Farmers' Union each continue to do its own organisation ami manage ils own brandies and provincial organisation. 2. That each member of both organisations contribute 5/ to the Dominion fund. 3. That the Dominion conference consist of provincial presidents and one delegate for each 500 financial members, of eadi province . 1. That the Dominion executive he r elected by the joint members of the t coniereuce. I I hat the conference and execuj live he called the New Zealand Farmers' l'nion conference and executive respectively. G. Thai ihe provincial president of each province ol the Dairy Farmers' Union take his seat as a member of the Dominion executive forthwith on j the ratifying of this agreement, and | that the payment of two shillings and ] sixpence discharge their liability for the Dominion levy to March 31, 1323.
