The Wairarapn touring Rugby football team played and defeated Horowheuita at Shannon on Wednesday afternoon, the final score being Wairarnpa 14, Horowhenua 0. The Wainirapa representative team has had a most successful tour, and is returning with an unbeaten record. Wednesday next should be a red letter day for local and district footballers, the occasion being a visit by tinGolden Bay rep. team—a strong coin bination. The visitors will arrive early in the week, and will be entertained on Tuesday at a concert and dance at the theatre.
