A meeting of Otaki football enthusiasts was hold last night, the Rev. Father Yibuud in the chair. It was pointud out that the main basin' ■■ -s wtts to arrange for a fitting reception to the Golden Bay reps., who were duo at Otaki on Monday, doth, and who would play v match on the Jbth, and leave tho following morning. 'Messrs MeGili and Walsh had offered a dinner, ami this would considerably reduce the expenditure. On the motion of Captain Bax it mu decided to hold a concert, to be followed by a danc», on Tue-dny. hath, and that the Kev. Father Vibaud. Messrs Bax. Waish, and P. Tabr.ri be a committee to arrange for musical items and supper. It wa.- -agreed to a.-:k the Borough Council to declare a half-holiday on the day of the inatnL, and to give permission to charge at the gate. It was considered that One visitors would be er.terijtined n- Tuinui on Monday (day of their arrival) while it was decided lo ask Mr .fatmcey to entertain them on Wednesday jiig.V at a pioture displa*.-. •Sevc-aal donations for supper have already.* been jiromised. The list of donors will be published later. Tokonte.ru has a splendid record, haring won all yml-shes during the season. Hui Mai and Otaki -will plqy- on Saturday for the Licensed Viptaallers’ cap.
