SPORTING.

The annua! meeting of the Otaki Maori Racing Club was held yesterday, when the balance-sheet was presented and considered very satisfactory. All officer- were re-elected, and Mr Honi Webber’s name added to the stewards. It was decided to effect improvements at the course, including the removal of the judge’s box to a better position. It will also be mad' higher, thus allowing the jadge to have an unobstructed view. If arrangement” can be made for issuing 10s tickets on the totalisator at Awapuui, the Manawatu Hunt Club will have 10s machine’ operating at its annual meeting.
