GOLF.
The Johnsoiiville golfers were very surprised to find Otaki was bathed in sunshine when they arrived, especially as they left in pouring rain and came prepared for a drenching. Tlfeir team consisted of seven ladies and twelve men, and it was defeated by 11 games to 4. two matches ending all square. However, all the members of the team thoroughly enjoyed their day and expressed their great admiration of the local links. Next Saturday the Otaki players will visit Levin by the Napier mail train, and after an early lunch in the town will play a match against the Le via golfers. Tite following are requested to be at the links by the lake at 1 p.m.:—Airs W. Al. Simcox. Airs R. D’Ath. Miss Quill, Miss Bennett. Miss Brandon, Aliss Booth, Aliss Swabey, Airs J. B. D’Alh. Airs Sievers, Alessrs F.*S5 Buncos. Brown, O’Rourke, D’Ath. Atmore (capt.), Wills, Lethbridge, Blackburn, and H. Lethbridge.
