FAREWELL SOCIAL.

A meeting of persons interested in a farewell social to Sister Lewis was held at the Borough Council Chambers last night, 'Air H. Witchell presiding. Apologies for absence, through illness, were received from His Worship the Mayor (Air Brandon) and Air A. Satherlev. The Chairman stated it was the general feeling that. On his suggestion it was decided to hold a social and dunce and to make a presentation. It was agreed to secure the theatre for the purpose, and to sell tickets at 2s each, while residents would also bo asked to make contributions. Air F. G. Davies was appointed secretary. Airs Bills to be asked to take charge of the refreshment portion of the programme, and the Rev. Petrie and Air Lowry to arrange a musical programme.
