The long motor drive to the Hutt on a very cold morning rather put the Otaki golfers of! their game on Saturday; the heal team provng th: winners by 8 games to 4. For Otaki Kirk. P. Simcox, Brown and O’Rourke defeated their opponents. The following arc the results, the Lower Hutt men being mentioned first in each instance:— Roberts io.-t to Kirk, 2 and 1; Heketa beat Gray. 4 and 3; Alclntosh beat iiievers, C and 5: AlcKenzie beat Higginson, 5 and 4; Godfrey beat Hopkins, 5 and o: D. (4. Johnston lost to I’. Siuicox. 1 up: Scaly beat S. Simcox, -3 and : Hannah lost to B. Brown. -1 and 3; Mason lost to O’Rourke, 1 up: Taverner beat Wells, 1 up; Morris beat Brandon. <) and .1; Rainey beat D’Ath, 4 and 3. The ladies ’ first bogey competition for the season played last Saturday resulted in a win for Miss Quill, one down to the colonel. Next Saturday Job asonvillc- are sending a team of-nine ladies and ten rnen by the Napier mail to Otaki. The following players are requested to be at the links as early as possible:— Ladies -Airs W. Wills, Atntore, C*. Lethbridge, Einekburne, J. D ’Ath. Lunch will bo ready at 12.30 p.m., and the match itarts immediately afterwards. The ladies will begin playing the hole to the premier green and the men at the first hole. It will, of court-*, be a general tea day.
