H. Dalton, of Levin; £1 worth of liquor and £4 in money from Jobs T. Folia.-, of Foxton; money and goods to the value of £-j 3 os. from Harold Coekrell, of Otaki; £5 5s from Alfred Erne.-t Minder, of Wellington: £3 from R. Palmer, of Foston; and £4 from A. Wright, of Forton. Chief Detective Kemp explained that the total amount the accused obtained by means of the valueless cheques was £-33 9s 6<L The goods had been recovered, but the money accused had obtained was. of course, gone.
