TE HORO BAZAAR.
The Anglican Church bazaar, held at | Te Horo, proved a successful function. | Despito the inclemency of the weather there was a good attendance of parishioners, both afternoon and evening, and as a result n sum of between £4O and £SO was raised for Church funds. The various stall-holders were .-is follows: — Produce. .Mrs Ashdown and Miss MeChesney; plain and fancy, Miss Hlackburne, Mrs Harkness, and Mrs Vic. Cottle; jumble. Mrs Aldworth and niece: sweets, Misses Day and Beau-' champ; cake. Miss Bradey; refresh- ! mint.-, Mr.Nilmuor: Cottle, Lander, and Gawler. and Miss Spiers and helpers; bran tub, Misses Ashdown, Sawyer and Dowsett. Games of various descriptions, shooting competitions, nail-driv-ing for men and women, v ere a feature of the proceedings, and were in the charge of Messrs Gawler, Lander, Pullman. Davidson, Blaekburne, Patten. Beauchamp, and Cotter. AuntSally also provided considerable division. A striking life-size model of a lady of austere countenance, fashioned by a local member of the male'sex, pointed the way to the jumble stall.
