No doubt the irritating effect of losing their balls on the new ground, combin- I ed with the bright light, had a demora- I Using effect on the play on Saturday. and poor scores were the result. The i best cards returned were Hopkins 89-10-70. and F. S. Simcox 90-10-80. Next Saturday Levin will send a team down. They will leave after an early lunch, and arrive about 1.30 p.m. The following will represent Otaki:— Mrs W. M. Simcox. Mrs R. M. D'Ath, Miss Brandon, Miss Bennett. Miss Quill, Messrs W. M. Simcox. O'Rourke.'j Atmore (capt.), J. D'Ath. G. Lethbridge, H. Lethbridge. Wills. Brandon and Bennett. Members are reminded it will be a general tea day. The new country being .-till very rough Mr H. Lethbridge has generously volunteered to twice harrow the tw» paddocks and roll them. Mr W. M. Simcox is giving the need and the Club the necessary- manure for the fairway so it will not be long before players will find their tees as good in the i new holes as on the old course.
