SPORTS MARDI GRAS.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the Sports Mardi Glut Committee was held on Friday at Levin, Mr C. E. Shaw presiding over a large attendance of members. s-ome discussion ensued on the appointment of trustees lor the {unus raised at the Mardi Gras. Messrs. lsherwood and J. W. Procter were appointed, with power to expend llw funds in the manner decided on. It was decided to hold social functions during the winter months to raise further money to make additional improvements to the Domain A committee consisting of Mrs Procter, Mrs Hook, Mrs Weldon, Miss McDonnell, Miss Procter, Miss Tubman, and Messrs. 1-sebbington, Pink, 'ienderson and li. A. Sloan (hon. secretary) was appointed to arrange and conduct the socials.
Recognition of the good work done by Mrs Procter in the Mardi Gras campaign was made during the meeting, when the members presented her with a silver teapot, suitably inscribed. A hearty vote of thanks was passed fo Mr C. E. Shaw for the use of the Are station for meetings, and for bis services as chairman during the Mardi Gras,
