FARMERS' UNION.
APPEAL TOR LOYALTY^ In a circular letter addressed to the various branches of the/Farmers' Union in the Manawatu/district, Mr W. J. Poison, Dominion/President, says: — : "Let me at the outset point out that any movement which tends to weaken our Organisation at the present time cifnnot be for the benefit of the fanning community. We never needed unanimity, loyalty to one another, solidarity and complete organisation so much as we do now. TheVFarmers* Union has realised this. I hav>>beeu appointed to my office through no Tspeeiai merits of my own but simply because I was able to devote some tinje to organisation, and was a dairyman as well as a sheep-farmer. A acheinc of organ* isation is coming before the next Dominion Conference. As the results of experiment/which the Dominion Executive haVc been making I am going to bring down proposals for a complete staff of lectures and organ isers and a~ronrpret-e. scheme of Dominion , organisation \ind I have no doubt the Conference/ will give it very sympathetic consideration. But if, in the meantinu/we farmers dissipate our strength by cutting adrift from the parent/ organisation and joining up- with lithers, we are only weakening iusteaoSi strengthening the general position.!/ i^SSSSSSSSBSSSSSi
