OTAKI’S BATHING SHEDS

- TO BE REPLACED. A letter was received from Mr Byron Brown at the last meeting, oi the Borough Council that the bathing sheds at the beach needed painting to protect them from the salt air. He also stated that if the Council desired he would take back the buildings and lhe« allow arrangements to be made. The Mayor stated if the structures had been of iron they would have keen alright. He also considered Mr Brown’s act a generous one. Cr. Nilsbv.. in agreeing, said it would be a good move to get rid of the buildings and later to erect wooden ones. It was decided to accept Mr Brown’s offer with thanks.
