There is likely to be a shortage of competent referees this season, and it is probable that a referees' association will be formed in Otaki, which should prove a benefit to some desiring to officiate.

A discussion ensued on Mr Cariuicliael protesting against last year's disqualification of the Wanderers' juniors on the grounds of their i.av ing played a member who had previously been disqualified. Mr Carjnichael insisted that the whole team should not he penalised. He moved that the suspension he lilted off the juniors, but that the disqualification remain in force in respect of l/io Hurunui, the player concerned. This was eventually agreed to, and tbe Wanderers - juniors will now be able to take the field,
On the motion of Mr Dixon, it was decided thai it be a recommendation to the incoming management committee lo play less representative matches away from home. The mover wntende* that In past years too much money had been spent in travelling, and that this year, on account of financial shortage, expenditure under this heading should be curtailed. Mr Cluni'e moved that it be a lurtheir recommendation that there be two rounds in the junior competition instead of three a? hitherto, as it had been found that the season was unci ,'y prolonged thereby.
