METHODIST CIRCUIT.
The annual quarterly meeting wa 1 ; held in the Tc Horo Church on Wednesday, sth April, there being representatives present from Otaki. Te Horo. Wsikanac, Papaparautuu and Paokakariki. The Rev. Kcall, Superintendent Minister, occupied the chair. After discussion of the uiinuto» of last meeting the report, and balancesheet were discussed. The finances, a." the result of *pecial hnrvesi festival efforts, "wore in r much better condition than formerly, and it is hoped that the debit balance will be .till further reduced by effort* still to be msd». Several of the preaching places were reported, however, to haT« failed to reach their assessment for ordinary Circuit expenses, and it was decided to urge upon those responsible to try and reach the amount assessed by the quarterly meeting. The Paraparaumu Parsoaage Building Committee reported that their work was done, as the parsonage «t Parapanumß wsa finished. The laud had been purchased and building erected »' a cos.t of over £I3OO, and of this amount £.18" had to be raised s* soon b.« possible, the remainder owinj; £600) being advanced by the Church Building s-nd Loat Fund. A hearty vote of thanks r»fcs accord ed to the committee for their splendid same**, also to Mr Cordukei for hi. 1 great generosity to the Methodist eause in all parts of the Circuit. Brief reference was. made by the Rev. B. P. Keal! to the inspiring nature of the meetings of the Centenary Conference recently held in Auckland. The Te Horo ladies provided a most delightful supper, which was heartily enjoyed by oil. The meeting closed at a late hour.
