HOCKEY.
OTAKI CLUB. A meeting of members of the Otaki Hockey Club was . held on Monday night. Mr H. Nicolson presiding. Mr A. Bills, secretary, submitted a bal-ance-sheet, which showed the Club to be in funds to ilie extent of I'+ -a sd, which was considered very satisfactory. It-was reported that a few promised donations were si ill outstanding. A letter was read from the Otaki Borough Council relative to the removal of goal-posts and nets' by the footballers. It was agreed that the- matter" be left in abeyance owing to the playing" area not being needed. A letter was read from the Petone Club inviting Otaki to .-end two teams (mon's and ladies) io Petone on Faster Monday.—lt was resolved that a men's team make the journey, and those willing to play to hand their names to the secretary without- delay. A further meeting will be held later to make final arrangements.
