The Misses Svraboy, sisters of Mr G. r. tfwabey, have just arrived in Otaki from England, and intend to spend some months here. Mr A. C. Holms, of Levin, will be a probable candidate for the Mastcrton seat at the coming election. Mr Holms mu the present member very close at .the last election. Representations have been made to Mr .T. P. Brandon, Mayor of Otaki, to allow himself to be nominated ns a candidate for the Otaki seat at the forthcoming diction. Mr Brandon is conI sidering the 'matter. . Mr J.. H. The deceased iadv vaa very old resident of the Shannon district, where sue had made her Lome for about SO years.
