RIFLE SHOOTING.

HAUTERE CLUE. i On Saturday members of the Hauterc Rifle Club fired seven shots at 200 and 1 300 yards for the Belt and Taylor Cup and trophies presented by the Otaki Bass Band. A match, Married v. Single, caused a lot of excitement, the shooting being so even that a tic result- 1 ' ed at both ranges. The top scorer for ‘ the married team was Rifleman H. L. j Beauchamp, who put on the possible at ' 200 yards and had every prospect of a J . good shoot at 300 yards having only J dropped two points up to his last shot, when he had the misfortune to finish j with an outer.
