WAIKANAE.
GRAND CONCERT. \ A most delightful concert was held in the School-room, Waikanae, by Mrs E. Brown's concert party of Wellington. A first-class programme was submitted which the audience was not slow to appreciate. For two hours and. a-half this tajented party Tkept the audience entertained, each item receiving an encore. Mr Swann-Gunn again -delighted the audience 'with his golden voice, while his duets with Mr C. Upham -were much appreciated. Mr Me-1 Keon wifh his cosier representations and Mr Keenan with his local hits' were quite a success. The two ladies of the party, Miss Bacon,,a sweet sing-. er, and Miss Troupe, -with her elocutionary items, were also greatly admired. Master Knox, the boy champion of New I Zealand and the winner of the Jellicoe ■ cup, was encored again and again. Two i little girls delighted the audience with j their character" songs and dances. Hiss G. Mathews was an able' accompanist. This was the second, concert given and we hop 9 it will not be the-last. The school-room was paciwa: and .-the
