Hall Steward: Mr D. Noble. It was resolved to ask the Band to render selections, as at previous shows. The question of amalgamation with the Bulb Society was fully discussed and finally, on the motion of Air Cockrell, seconded by the Rev. Petrie, it was unanimously re solved “That it be a recommendation to the members of the Horticultural Society that the Bulb Society’s offer of amalgamation bo accepted.’’ It* being necessary in view of amalgamation that the name of the Society bo altered, it was resolved that “Otaki Horticultural and Daffodil Society’’ be recommended to the members. These recommendations will be considered at the annual meeting of the Society. A special prize of 3s for first, 2.s for second, and Is for third was donated anonymously for sponge sandwich for children under 1(> years. It was expected there would be kocu competition in the domestic classes.
