PERSONAL.
Among the visitors to Otaki at the present time is Mr C. H. G. Hedditch, of Dannevirke.
Air and Mrs Cowie, the former Borough engineer at Petone, and Miss Barber, are among the visitors to Otaki. Mr A. McDougall, who has been in indifferent health,- leaves to-day for Dannevirke, where he will indulge in a well-earned holiday.
Miss Brandon, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. P. Brandon, of Otaki, .-raeeessfnliy underwent an operation at the Hamilton hospital yesterday, and is reported to be doing well.
Miss Lee, who has been on holiday in the north, principally in the Gisborne and Napier districts, and Wellington. returned home to Otaki last night.
Mbs Grant, who is to lecture at the Y.M.C.A. rooms to-morrow night, is a New Zealander. For many years she has lived in Switzerland and England, and with her mother did a great deal of good work for interned prisoners in Switzerland. For years she was an active worker of the Student Christian Volunteer mpvemenr, and has been delegate at sjojae of the outstanding conferences at Geneva, Constantinople, and in England; Miss Grant is a fluent speaker, and her ’address should prove most interesting.
