A MANAKAU CASE.
At the last sitting .of the S.M. Court at Otaki Howard Andrew, Ltd., claimed from Manahi Te Hiakai the sum of -.6 9s 6d, being the balaneo due on a pm. given for a store account. • Mr Atmore, for the plaintiff, snid that this claim, was in respect to a pm. given by. the defendant in September, 19.19, for 21»8 iSs of which the sum of £IOO had been paid. Interest accrued brought the s stance up to £76 9s 6d, and the details Were shown clearly in the statement of claim. The present suit had no reference to the current account -/between the parties, but was referable entirely to the pm. As far a 3 the current account was concerned the plaintiff had received the sum of £25 which had been credited him. Evidence was adduced i o show this to be the case.' Mr Staveley, for the defendant, said that the accounts of the defendant had been confused. Payments had been
