PAEKAKARIKI ROBBERY.
- SECOND ACCUSED BEFORE COURT. Percy M. Carmichael appeared before the lower court yesterday charged with complicity in the Paekakariki robbery case. Tho charge against tho burly Carmichael was that of breaking and entering the shop of Thomas Fisher Thompson on January 7th last and stealing 127 sovereigns, £sl in silver, and sundry papers, of a total value of £I9S. On the request of Senior-Detective Lewis, who stated that the police had not yet completed their- inquiry, he was remanded to appear before the court at. Wellington to-day; when a further remand will probably be requested.
