PERSONAL.

Mr D. Leer, of Waikanae. fell from a hav-staek on Tuesday and dislocated his elbow. He is in the Otaki hospital.

The death occurred yesterday of the infant child of Mr and Mrs Oeorge Tattersall of Otaki.

Captain Bax will probably enter the Napier Hospital at an early date to undergo an operation.

We are pleased to report that Mr Frank Bennett, who has been indisposed for some time, is now making good progress towards recovery.

Mr G. L. Perterson, advance manager for Wirth’s circus, was in Otaki yesterday making arrangements for the circus and menagerie, which is to be shown here on Thursday, Ifith.

Mr A. 11. Hill, of Ihakara, and late of Otaki, had the misfortune on Sunday last, to lose his youngest child, death being due to heart failure.

-Mr Moulin, tablet porter at Waikanae, received a compound fracture of the left leg while engaged in shunting operations on Wednesday. He is at present in the Otaki hospital.

Miss Waikuharu Parata, daughter of Mr T. Parata, of Waikanae, who has been on the teaching staff of the Huknrere College for the past year, was successful in her public service entrance examinations held at Napier recently. It may be mentioned that Miss Parata also holds certificates for music, an<l medallion for St. John Ambulance course.
