The Otaki State School committee will meet thin evening at 7.30. A 4-roomed house, conveniences, is advertised for sale cheap. A lady's bicycle is advertised for sale. Two members of the Springbok athletic team are due at Waikanae on February loth. Bathing suits for ladies or gentlemen may be secured on hire from Mr T. P. Ransom, "Cosy Nook," Otaki beach. A seaside section, splendid position on the Otaki beach, is advertised for sale. Mr Lowry, stationer, has on hand some splendid novels and a number of records. A notice from the Hut! County Council relative to the statutory half-holi-day appears elsewhere.
It is probable that Brigbts' theatre will change hands to-day, a wellknown resident of Christchurch negotiating for its purchase. An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Te Horo Co-op. Dairy Co. will be held in the Public Hall on Wednesday next at 8 o'clock.

Milk is now being retailed in Napier at 3d per quart. Butter (farmers' home-made) is being sold in some of the shops at lOd per lb, beef and mutton at 3d and 4d per lb and lamb at 7d per lb.
Members of the Old Boys' Cricket Club are grateful to all who made their recent dance such a success, and elsewhere thank all who assisted, especially the ladies and secretaries (Messrs M. Baker and W. Bikihana).
The Otaki Native concert, to be held on Thursday night in Brights' theatre, ,-hould draw a large crowd, especially as the programme is a splendid one :uid the object a worthy one. Besides leading local singers there will be several new to Otaki audiences, and these alone should prove a draw as all ar» high-chvss performers.
Mr Pullman, of Te Horo, met with a nasty accident on the Otaki traffic bridge on Friday. He was crossing in his milk cart when a motor lorry also attempted to cross with the result that Mr Pullman was almost capsized by a collision. In endeavouring to save himself he injured both wrists, ODe being badly sprained, while his face wss also cut.
A very happy holiday party was given by Mrs Henry Hadfield at her home at Paraparaumu to the orphans who are in the charge of Mrs Pratley. Although the weather was unfavourable, the children were entertained indoors with games and refreshments, and with a pretty Christmas tree, providing a present —a bag of sweets —for each little guest. Hrs Hadfield was assisted in the entertaining by Miss Hilda Hadfield, and her guests. Miss Lake, of \ Bunedin, and the Mis=es Paul (England)..

There are at present 39 milk and 19 cream suppliers at the Eahui Dairy Co's. factory. The supply of" milk is very satisfactory, while tests reach as high as 4.4.
