HOROWHENUA VALUATIONS.
* A BIG INCREASE. e A statement was laid on the table at ' the meeting of the Horowhenua County * Council on Saturday showing the new 0 provisional valuations for the County to take effect from the end of the preJ sent financial year. The new valuations show a big increase over the 5 -1913-14 figures. The gross capital validation has been raised from £3,484,106 ' to £5,454,745, an increase of slightly 1 under £2,000,000, whilst the . rateable ' capital value has gone up from £3,331,549 to £5,241,103 ; more than at present. In the unimproved valuations, gross has jumped ; from £2,512,491 to £3,778,331, a difference of £1,265,840, and the rateable value under this head will bo £3,652,301 as against £1,505,198 at present, a rise of £1,847,103.
