MANAKAU CENOTAPH.
To the Editor. Sir,—Why all this bother about a cenotaph which "A Digger" probably fails to recognise as a memorial to our brave lads. Let as hold our sports, but like another of your writers I say let's boom them, and not have a private gathering. Let's splash a few bob—a sprat to catch a whale, and thus wipe off any debt that may be owing.—l am, etc., HELPEB. Manakaa, . , January 7, 1922.
