Mrs Hull (Carterton) is at present among the visitors to Otaki.
Mr Leslie McDonald, who was injured at the Marton races while riding Note-a-wede, is still in a senii-unconsci-ous condition.
Among those staying at the Otaki seaside resort are Mrs Kymau and Mr and Mrs Watson, of Palmerston N., and Mr and Mm Scott and family, recent arrivals from India.
The marriage took place at Ohau yesterday of Miss Kuia McDonald, of Wairau, Marlborough, and Mr Tamatima Patuaka, of Ohau, the bride being a niece of Mr Tuiti McDonald, of Levin. There was a large gathering of natives present, including visitors from the South Island, and the young couple received numerous congratulations and good wishes for their future happiness.
Mr Len E, Morgan, son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Morgan, of Otaki, was successful in passing his law professional and accountancy examinations at the recent University examination* with credit. Considering that he has been handicapped for time, working at the Public TJhlst Office, and did his study in spare rnonicnts ( his success is all the more meritorious. Mr Morgan, jun., is at present on annual leave, but returns to Wellington on Tuesday.
