FAREWELL SOCIAL.
There was a large and representative attendance at the Druids' Hall last night for the purpose of making arrangements to accord a farewell to Mr and Mrs Frank Penn and family, who .-.hortljs leave to take up residence at Camblidge. Mr J. P. Brandon, chairman of the Otaki Town Board, occupied tho chair. It was decided to hold a social on the •12th last... and a committee ccaristieg of lies dames Hodgson and Sjrn.no tt, Messrs IV. Burns Smith, Howard Andrew, G. F. Davies, J. P. Brandon, Harold Cockrell, L. St. George, T. B. Ban, E. McDougall, H. Witched. Harold Small. Alt'. Atkin*. L. Hopkins, and Be vs. Siade and Petrie, with power to act, were appointed. Mr Davies was appointed secretary, while It was decided to meet again on Friday and receive the report of the commit - tee.
