-‘PARADISE GARDEN.” “Paradise Garden,” to be shown on Monday, is the story of a man who has never seen a .girl. Then one day pretty Una Hahberton wanders across his vision. She is a good girl the right sort. But then comes Marcia Van Wyck, like a young Satan in petticoats, and she teaches the hitherto spotless young man the knowledge of good and evil. The theme presents great possibilities, of which full advantage is taken in the picture. “THE TREASURE OP HEAVEN.” On Saturday (Christmas Night), “The Treasure of Heaven” (Marie Corelli) will he shown. This is a fivereel drama. The story tolls of David Hemsley, a millionaire king of finance, who was unhappy because he could not find the one tiling he wanted—love for himself alone. He left his home of splendour, and, under disguise, travelled about, having a mixed career. When in sad distress, and very ill, ho was befriended by a lovely young girl, and through her ministrations his faith in mankind was restored. Angus Rear, a fine young man. whose life had been embittered through the girl he loved leaving him in an endeavour to marry the millionaire Hemsley, moets the voung woman who had befriended the millionaire in distress, and falls in love with her. David Hemsley at death leaves his fortune to the young woman, who marfics Angus. They decided to spend their huge fortune in helping others as their beloved David would wish them to do. The story is a most fascinating one. with an excellent moral tone throughout, and the picture is one that, should offend none on Christmas Day.
