A special mooting was held on Ted- | nesd.ay night for the purpose of re- ■ considering file advisability of allowing a picture entertainment on Christmas night, it. being previously decided' that a display should not be allowed. Present: Corns. J. P. Brandon (chairman), T. B. Bax, 0. Kilsby, H. Cockrell, J. R. Bills, A. W. Broadway, and U. Nicolsou. Since last meeting renewed application had" been made, while Mr McMillan, picture proprietor, waited on the • Board and stated that if allowed to give an entertainment he would provide a programme that would bo suit- , able, having been passed by censors . for various places. lie added, also that 1 at Levin the Borough Couucil had cveu consented to a Tom Mix picture, but ■ sm-h a film he would not _ think of ,| showing. It was decided to allow Mr McMillan to show, provided the programme was approved of by the Chair-J man, Com. Nicolson, and the Clerk. jj Surfacemen’s Holidays.
