VALEDICTORY.
On Saturday evening members of the Otaki Golf and Tennis Clubs met for the purpose of saying good-bye to Mr Hedditch, of the Bank of Australasia, who has been transferred to Dannevirks. Mr J. I*. Brandon, president of the Otaki Club, presided and on behalf of the members of the above .dubs presented Mr Hedditch with &" silver cigarette case. aud to Mrs Hedditch a silver card case. Messrs Brandon. O'Rourke, Hopkins, Brown, Witched and Stable spoke of the keen interest Mr aud Mrs Hedditch had taken in all branches of sport and ail social movements, aud asked him to accept and convey to Mrs Hedditch tho best wishes of the members for their future happiness and welfare in then new home. Mr Hedditch feelingly responded and assured the members that both he aud Mrs iledditch would always remember with pleasure their association with Otaki. and would look forward to the time when they would again be living in Otaki. Mr and Mrs Hed- | dtick left this morning for Dannevirke.
