Mr G. W. O'Kane. a well-know Wellington chemist, was found dead i bed on Saturday. Among the visitors staying at Ih Otakj seaside resort, at the pre-,;> time are Mr and Mrs Cba*. Lnnksho; and family. Mr and Mrs A. If. Laufc shear, and .Mr and Mrs Hunt. Tli Kev. 6. S. Cook, of Palmerston Norll has just returned to his home ai'u-i pleasant stay at the Otaki Kiosk. Constable Sutberley, writing fiot Victoria Ward (Wellington Hospital states that although he has suffers very severely, he is now on the- higi load to recover}-, but this, the doroi -tan-, will take time and patience, ii is at present undergoing special treat meat, and able to leave his bed for : brief interval each day.
