“INNOCENT." To-morrow night’s star picture, “Innocent,” should draw a big audience. The opening scenes of the play are laiiT in China. Innocent (Fannie Ward) is reared within the walls of a Chinese garden. Her father, addicted to drink, dies a drunkard. He leaves her to the protection of John Wviuiham (John Miltenn). Wyudham tires of the Orient and longs for the. gambling resorts of Paris. He goes to Paris accompanied by Innocent. She is established iu a beautiful home. Wyndham’s former friends eauuot understand Wyndhani ‘s position with the girl. Louis Doueet (Armand Kalitz), pioprietor of a famous gambling re--ort. is particularly anxious to solve the problem, as lie loves the girl at first sight. Wyudham tries hard to light tlu> passion for gambling, but finally gives nay and spends night alter night in Doueet's gambling resort. Doueet takes advantage of his absence and visits Innocent. He flatters her and she beo6mes infatuated with him. Wyudham returns one night and finds Doueet in company with Innocent. He realises the danger facing Innocent. 11c takes her from Paris to the country. Doueet learns that she has gone and follows. He meets her and takes her to Paris, where he buys her beautiful clothes. Wyndhani wakes up to the realisation that he is in love with luuoseuf. He (Wyndham) asks her to marry him. She laughs and tells him she is foolish. Later Innocent elopes with Doueet to Paris. Wvndham finds himself alone iu the hig liouve and broods. He follow's Innocent to Paris. Innoceut and Doueet reach Paris and Doueet puts off the murraiago ceremony. Innocent insists, and lie, becoming enraged because he has not conquered her, attacks her and is killed by Wvndham, who comes upon the ; cone. He leaves for China. Innocent, aware of the danger which she has escaped ami real ising that Wyndhnm is a true friend returns to China, and Wyndhani and she tire united. "QUEEN OF THE SEA." A particularly fine film, starring the famous Australian swimmer, Annette Kellermaii, is billed for Saturday night
