Petrie, if.A., arrived in Otaki last evening on holiday. bliss Mav Brown, a much travelled verting lady, who tome time ago was on a visit to Otaki, has returned from Australia., and is nor the guest or Ma Byron Brown at Wellrngton. ilr Jas. Aplim while- engaged in carting at tile Parar.-araumu railway station recently, was severely jambed by his horse and cart against a railway truck. As a result he suffered internal injuries, and is still incapacitated. Miss Warmington. the popular young lady who has been acting as assistant clerk to the Hutt County Council for the past seven years, was yesterday rhade the recipient of a presentation in. the form of a substantial cheque. The Chairman (Cr. F. G. Cooper), who made the presentation, spoke very highly of Miss Wannington ’e cape.. | bill ties, and while regretting the great less the Council would sustain, wished her every success in the tnatrimonal fixture which was das at no distant date.
