METEOROLOGICAL.
The total rainfall for Otaki for tho month of October just jiast was 5.50 inches. Rain fell on 10 days, and the heaviest fall was 1.16 in on the 25th. The four days of heavy rain of last week accounted for 3.65 inches of the total. Last October the month’s total was 2.10 inches, and the average of the last sixteen Augusts was 4.20 inches. Rain fell on nineteen days in October in Pelmerston North, the total fall being 6.74 in.
