—. —« CONTESTED ELECTION FOR TE HORO AND WIROKINO. Nominations for the Horowhenua County Council elections closed yesterday. For the Otaki Riding, Messrs P. J. Ryder and H. G. Bryant were returned unopposed, and Alessrs H. Barber and J. R. Whyte were re-elected for Tokomaru Riding. For the Te Horo Riding, there were three nominations for tho two seats, viz., Alessrs G. A. Alouk (county chairman), H. L. Beauchamp and A. R. Knox; while for Wirokino the three sitting members (Messrs Broadbelt, Harkness and AlcLeavey) have been nominated, and also Air A. S. Death. Thus an election will be necessary in Te Horo and Wirokino Ridings.
