The opening of the Levin Bowling Club took place on Saturday, when representatives of various clubs were present. All were royally entertained, and some very good games were played. Much interest centred in the tontest between Otaki and Levin, and although the former won easily there was n deal of solid play by the vanquished. Otaki. who was represented by Irving, Freeman, Gooding and A. Smith (skip), played splendidly and cut along hot stuff from the start, eventually winning by 28—1 J. Levin was represented by Whclan (2), Brown and Like (skip).
