LAWN TENNIS.
The opening of the tennis season in Otaki took place on Saturday, when, despite an unfavourable day, there was quite a number of players, including representatives from Manakau. Mr Conolly officiated at the opening ceremony, and in doing so stated tha season promised to be a successful one, and trusted one and all would enjoy the outing. Afternoon tea was served, and several gamos, which proved most enjoyable, played.
