PARAPARAUMU SPORTS CLUB.

J The annual meeting id the above <:lub was held on Tuesday Inst, There was a good attendance, and the enthusiasm of those present ensures a -access! ul season. The balance-sheet -hewed a credit balance of £sl 7i. The election of officers resulted as followh:—President, hit Rob. Maclean f re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs \V. ,r. Howell. M. J. Lynch, (i. Brazier, \V. Croiub, J. Maclean, O. P. Lynch, D. !). Hyde (re-elected), and M Maclean, chairman of committee, Mr K. Clarke; joint secretaries, Messrs A. T. White and D. Howell; treasurer, Mr C. Brazier; executive committee, Mr:- W. -t. Howell, Misses Gallery and It. Brazier. Messrs Hunt, Jeffries, L. L Howell. Cummins. Gardiner (official Landieapper). and officers. A hearty vote of thank- v.as accorded to the ladies of the retiring committee and to the committee in general for the good work of last season. A vote of thank- was also accorded to the Domain Board for the interest it had taker: ir: the club’* welfare. A working-bee was arranged for Wednesday to complete the work at the Domain, and it was decided to canvas- for subscriptions towards trophies. Trophies were presented in the room as follows:—M. Maclean £2 2s. V. Howell £2 2-, M. J. Lynch £1 lx. The nominal sum of £1 3- was donated towards the Soldier-’ Mernor- . ial Fund to shew the club’s sympathy with the movement.
