“JUST FOR TO-NIGHT.” “Just for To-niglit” will be. the star item of to-morrow night’s programme. The film is a good one, and the story as follows: Theodore Whitney, jun.. is the only son of a wealthy broker. Theodore Whitney, sen., is worried —extremely- worried — as a certain block of stock he once held is now worth many times the amount paid for it. This stock certificate is hanging on tlie wall of an inn. appropriately framed in mourning. Whitney has employed a detective to locate it. and when it is at la-t found he sends Theodore, jun.. to buy it ui tiie lowest possible figure. But stock certificates are far from Theodore. jun. 's. mind. He is quite madly in love with a young girl whose name is Betty Blake, but who poses before him as Mary Smith. Theodore's acquaintanceship is limited to a fenpassing glimpses in an automobile and a joint session with a speed cop. But Whitney's defective opens a way for the gallant lover. This fellow scheduled to enter the home of Major Blackburn. Betty's uncle, as an English nobleman; the reason being that thieves hate worried the majors friends, and they believe a detective must be present. So Theodore, being

a man of infinite resourcefulness, pays the detective tu drop the case while he proceeds to pose as the nobleman —Lord Roxenhum. And here are complications! Though Theodore is delighted basking in the presence oi Betty, he is quite thoroughly astonished when a Lady Roxenhum puts in an appearance. The”, havoc! Bor tvwill have nothing to do with him. AiJ hit words of Jove make him out a vile hypocrite. But then Theodore proves himself a good detective after all. He discovers that the supposed Lurk- Bosgaham is none other than one of the gang of crooks wno had planned to rob the major. And it appears that Betty had bough! the stock certificate so dear -to—Whitney s s heart —so what could be better than this happy climax to affairs.
