WEDDING BELLS.
BILLS—REYNOLDS. -. j A wedding, which caused quite a flutter among the fair sex of Otaki and district, was solemnised at All Saints' Church, Otaki, this afternoon, when a highly-popular young couple were united in holy bonds of matrimony. The bridegroom was Mr Alex. Weatherslield Bills, eldest sou of Mr ami Mrs J. R. Bills, old and highlyrespected residents of the district, an i Miss Nellie Reynolds, only daughter of Mr and Mrs W. 11. Reynolds, also esteemed residents of Otaki. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. F. Petrie, M.A., while Mr Ray Bills brother of the bridegroom, was be.-t man. The bride, who was given away by her father, was tastefully dressed iu a lovely dress of white crepe-do-diene. with figured lace panniers and rose buds. It was certainly a work oi art. being executed in London by a fashionable dressmaker. Site carried a very choice bouquet, made by Miss I'oole, florist, of Wellington, sweetly arranged with white sweet peas. hyacinths, freezias, and maiden hair fern, and this, like the dress, was the cynosure of till eyes. She also wore •. valuable gold chain and pendant, the gift of the bridegroom. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Maude Bill*, sister of the bridegroom. She was most becomingly attired in a stylish
costume of cream gabardine, with pink picture hat. and carried a lovely bouquet of pink sweet peas, roses, ami maiden-hair fern, artistically arranged. Little Misses Madeline and Ida Bills, adopted daughters of the bridegroom's parents, also acted as bridesmaids, and were prettily dressed in pink and cream dresses with mob caps. They carried baskets of choice flowers. The bridegroom's gifts to the bridesmaids were handsome brooches, while the bride's gift lo the bridegroom was -i fine gold amethyst pin.
Mrs Reynolds, the bride's moth.:-, was nicely dressed in cream crepe d--chine, while Mrs Bills, the bridegroom's mother, was stylishly attired in navy blue silk wirli cream trimmings, black hat and gold trimmings. The young couple, who are deservedly highly popular, were the recipients of many u.-cfu! .and ornamental presents, besides receiving numerous congratulatory messages. After the ceremony, which was witnessed by a large number <>f relative* and friends, a reception was bold i" the Druids' Hall. The tables and interior of the building were beautifully decorated. A fine spread wa- servo! to a large number of guests, 'luring which a toast list was honoured. The chief object, of interest wa- m large three-decker wedding cake, made tiy the bridegroom'- mother. and surmounted with flowers that formed :• prominent pari iu Mr and Mr- •'. liHill-' wedding -erne L'l years ago. The honeymoon is to be spent in Wanganui, the bride'- travelling die - being a navy blue costume with hat •<• match. The "Mail'' wishes the y,,-n,; people every possible happiness nti.i prosperity.
