Dr. and Mr- Adam-, who for some time resided in Foxton, returned from England last week. They will probably take up residence in Wangaxiui. The funeral o: the-' late Mrs Wells took place this afternoon, when a large '■ number of relative, and friends of the deceased followed her mortal remains 'to the graveside. The ceremony was j •.•erformed by the Rev. G. F. Petrie. 1 . LA.. Among those present at the < -.:nf-n:l were a number of Druids, Mr ' 'elis being a member of that order. Despite heayy rain on Monday :■ vera! members of the Ladies' Guild i .el at the vicarage to bid farewell to : Cr- J. G. Steven-, who shortly leaves . take n\> residence in Wellington. A pleasant afternoon was spent. Besides items by Misses Stevens (2}, there wa- a competition -for-a silver vase.
