MANAKAU.
Mr Natl Hanley, the clever comedian, gave a pleasing entertainment at Afunakati on Wednesday night to a splendid audience. The uffair was enjoyable from start, to finish, Air Hanley being in his element with mirth, song and story. On Wednesday last Mrs Tatum gave a gift afternoon in aid of the jumble stall tor the Anglican Church bazaar which is taking place on the last Wednesday in October. There were a number of guests present, and the gifts received should make the stall an attractive one. During the afternoon Mexdames Boss and .Smith contributed musical items and Alias Malcolm wag??. Next Friday evening Mr# Burnell is giving « gift euchre evening at her residence in aid of the same utali, and at a later date Mrs. Bryant is having a gift afternoon for her fairyland stall, at which on bazaar day parents wilt be able to purchase wonderful toys for Christmas. j
