During the mouth of August the Masterton police had occasion to deal i with two cases —one of attempted j suicide and the other an inebriate : from Tinui. On enquiry from the local inspector of shops and offices ! (Constable Satherley) we were in : formed that the date of the change touting into force lies with fhe Coverji nor-General, who wjlj no doubt consult lithe Town Board before gazetting the 1 order re the enforcement of the change 1 of law.
