The Levin Club defied the fates and sent a team of thirteen golfer* to l Otaki in the pouring rain on Saturday. Such courage had its reward in a beautiful golfiing afternoon, and the team though unsuccessful spent a very en (joyable day. The result of the different matches was as follows, the Levin * players: being mentioneTl first:— Ladies. j Mrs Kimbell lost to Mrs W. M. Bim- ; cox. ; Miss H. Beckett lost to Miss (O’Eoarke. • ] Mrs Clark won from Mrs Hodgson. { Mrs Porter and Mi ht <juiil all square f Miss B. Beckett won from Miss Ben- : nett. Men. Biss lost to P. Eimcoz. 1 Clark won from Hawkins, Harper lost to Pcdevin. Mackenzie lost to Hedditeh. Porter lost to B. Brown. Pollock lost to O’Rourke. Ki'hby won from Atraore and Brown lost to Wills. Total; Otaki % games, Levin 4, one being halved. Next Saturday the annual mixed foursomes will be played. It will be an eighteen hole a-.cdal round, and ladies will choose their partners, and remember that both partner* aao drive from the men’s tees.
