* Nominations for the Otaki Maori Racing Club’s spring meeting number 317 for the two days—ls 3 for the first day and 164 for the second. No less than 35 have entered for the Maiden ,34 for the Trial, while in txe Steeples there are 25 for the first day and 27 for the second. Other events have filled up well. Dumper, who is now- in Mr HiggettV stables, is owned by Mr C. F. Yullancc, and will be given a spin at the coining Otaki meeting. Mr A. D. Webster is adding Sir Fanciful, owned by an Ashhurst sport, to liis string, while Mr J:\ Iliggott shortly secures Brunswick from Gisborne. Wirokino, who ran a good race at Martou, is done for the season, and will be spelled. (Mr IV. H. Bowden, who has Sprinkle (Gold Crest —Splash) in hand, has the youngster looking well. It is stated that the Otaki Club has decided to increase the size of its area by adding another eighty acres of land , to the present area. With the addition of an electric totalisator. increase! stand accommodation, etc., the Club will rank as one of the foremost of country clubs. Mr E.
